Our 7-day’ safari will take you to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s oldest and largest conservation area. It was established in 1962 and is home to over 451 bird species and 76 different mammals, including lions, elephants, hippos, hyenas, Jackson hartebeests, warthogs, leopards, oribi, and various antelopes. We shall also visit the Mubaku community to learn more about the culture and the school project.

DAY 1: Arrival and transfer to the hotel
Upon arrival at the hotel, you will be met and greeted by our company representative, who will later transfer you to the hotel and brief you about your 7 Days Volunteer Vacation in Murchison falls.

DAY 2: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park

After an early breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. You will have a stopover in Nakasongola at the Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking before embarking on the journey to the park and arriving at the booked hotel in time for evening relaxation, dinner and overnight stay

DAY 3: Visit Mubaku school

After serving breakfast, go for a visit to the Mubaku school, which mainly focuses on the education of the girl child as well as extending better health care to the neighboring communities. Later, return to the booked accommodation in time for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay

DAY 4: Visit Mubaku community
After serving breakfast, go for a visit to the Mubaku community, where you get to meet the locals and see how they carry out their daily activities. Enjoy a cultural dance performance by the locals as they showcase the culture of the people of West Nile. Return to the lodge for afternoon relaxation, dinner and overnight stay Accommodation

DAY 5: Optional women empowerment Center
After being served breakfast, you can opt to go to the women’s empowerment center and take a look at the project as the women and girls display what they do at the center.

DAY 6: Morning Game drive, afternoon boat trip, hike top of the falls
Early in the morning, go for a game drive in the park and expect to see different animals, especially the early grazers like elephants. You can also be able to see cape buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, spotted hyenas, bush pigs, and buffaloes, among others. Later, return to the lodge for a late breakfast and relax. In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise upstream to the bottom of the falls. The boat stops approximately 10 meters from the Devil’s Cauldron, and this is also a good spot for beautiful pictures. Expect to see different animals like water bucks, hippos, and crocodiles. Different bird species are spotted during the boat cruise, and these include the rare shoebill stork. Later, go for a hike to the top of the falls and return to the booked lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay

DAY 7: Morning chimps tracking, transfer to Entebbe
After serving breakfast, go for chimpanzee tracking in Budongo Forest and also get to look out for more primates in the forest. Later transfer to Kampala, arriving in the evening at the booked hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay
