3 Days Murchison Falls – Wildlife Safari in Wildlife
The 3-day Murchison Falls Park Safari offers a great experience in the wild. You will see the stunning Murchison Falls, which drops 45 meters through an 8-meter-wide gorge. This creates a beautiful view and a loud roar of water. The falls continue their journey on the Victoria Nile. You will also enjoy amazing plants, especially savannah vegetation. The park is home to many wildlife species, including lions, warthogs, elephants, and antelopes. You can also spot Nile crocodiles and various birds like Goliath herons, kingfishers, rare shoebills, and storks. The park was established in 1926 as a game reserve. It is Uganda’s oldest and largest park. It is located in Northwestern Uganda and covers an area of 300.80 square kilometres. The park is home to over 460 bird species and 76 mammal species.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Murchison Falls-Rhino Tracking at Ziwa
Have breakfast. By 7:00 am, your driver guide will pick you up from your home in Kampala. He will explain the plan for your 3-day Murchison Falls safari. Then, you will start your 6-hour drive to Murchison Falls. On your way, branch off on a 7-kilometre road to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. At this sanctuary, you will have a great time tracking rhinos. These rhinos were part of the big five. They went extinct in Uganda by 1982. However, they were brought back by 2005, after the sanctuary was created. Have lunch in Masindi and still the park to see in at your lodge of choice, have dinner, and overnight.

Day 2: Game drive, Boat cruise
Begin the day with breakfast and depart for an early game drive at exactly 7:00 am, which will leave you thrilled with amazing savannah plains and wildlife species like warthogs, lions, leopards, giraffes, hyenas, and Uganda kobs, among others. Afterwards, around 11:30 a.m., head back to the lodge, shower, and have lunch as you steel yourself against the impressive afternoon launch cruise.
On the boat, you’ll be ready to see different bird species and animals, just like the Nile crocodiles, hippos, monitor lizards, and elephants that quench their thirst from the waters. The boat will lead you to the bottom of those falls, to the highest of the Murchison waterfalls, where you’ll see amazing scenery, right from the falls, and vegetation, among others. Have dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Return to Kampala
Get up early enough, have breakfast, and have another game drive to more wildlife, or you can opt for chimpanzee tracking at Kaniyo Pabidi at around 11:30 am and start the journey back after a tremendous safari with lunch on the route. reach your hotel in Kampala within the late afternoon
