Day 1: Arrival at the airport
You will be picked up by our company representative, who will transfer you to the hotel. Take your time to relax from the long flight as you prepare for your next 12 days of Africa Primates Safari Tours.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls national park
Morning breakfast and a transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, having a stopover at the Ziwa rhino sanctuary to track rhinos, taking 2-3 hours lunch en route in Masindi town, and then continuing to the largest conservation area in Uganda, where we will stay for an overnight.

Day 3: Game drive and launch cruise
You will have breakfast. After a drive to the northern bank of the park in search of early morning risers, you will spot animals like buffaloes, giraffes, bush bucks, warthogs, elephants, waterbucks, oribi, and Jackson hartebeest, among a variety. On a lucky day, you will see lions returning to the lodge for lunch, and later, on an afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls, you will have the chance to see water animals like crocodiles and hippos as you enjoy the roar of the magnificent Murchison Falls.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale forest national park
After your early morning breakfast, you will have a full-day drive to Kibale Forest National Park. It is well-known for primates, which include the chimpanzee, and has the largest forest cover in Kabalore district. It is home to various mammal species, though they are rarely seen, and boasts over 325 bird species, six of which are endemic. You will have a lunch stopover along the journey. Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi swamp walk
After your morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters at kanyanchu visitor center to start your chimpanzee tracking by 8 am it may last for 2 to 3 hours, chimpanzees share close to 98% of the human DNA, they are communicable and social primates. Chimpanzee are the most popular primate most sought of by many tourists, expect to see other primates like the grey cheeked mangabey, black and white colobus monkey, red tailed mangabey and later back to the hotel for lunch, you will have an afternoon swamp walk to Bigodi wetland sanctuary at magombe swamp, its home to various bird species, it’s a community run initiative aimed at conserving the environment and its biodiversity.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
After your early morning breakfast, you will transfer to Bwindi via the ishasha sector for tree-climbing lions arriving in Bwindi in the evening. Depending on your gorilla permit booked, if you booked Buhoma, you can optionally do the batwa cultural experience in the evening, enjoying their traditional dance, cultural norms and customs, crafts, and later head to the lodge.

Day 7: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
After your early morning breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing before you can go for gorilla tracking, they will brief you on what to do while with the African gorillas, remember flash photography is prohibited, you will be assigned your gorilla family to track and your guide will drive you to the starting point, tracking is could be so tiring but rewarding by the end of the day, time to find the gorillas depends on how far the gorilla families have moved it can take 2 to 8 hours or even the whole day.one hour is allowed to spend with the animals interact with them but not so closely.

Day 8: Visit the Batwa (pygmies) – transfer to Goma
Following breakfast visit the last group of the short structured people(pygmies), they are a bantu race with a distinctive culture enjoying their traditional dances, songs, norms and their way of living, have a brunch and transfer to Goma approximately 4hours drive spending dinner and stay overnight

Day 9: Hiking Nyirangongo
Today is real adventure where you spend a day hiking the live volcano Nyiragongo. The trek includes a walk through lush forest and lava fields with a steep incline near the top, and includes an overnight stay in the Nyiragongo Crater Cabanas on the volcano rim. The stunning views both day and night make this an unforgettable experience. Later stay for overnight in tents at the rim of the giant crater high above the active lava lake. CRATER BANDAS Ready Food and Water are included in the rates below. Things to bring for Nyiragongo Hiking Sleeping Bag, Change of dry clothes, Rain gear, Good walking shoes, Warm Clothes (sweater, jacket) it is cold up the rim. Day 10: Descend to Goma- transfer to musanze
Have breakfast later and start to descend by 7 or 8 a.m. Arrive at the trailhead before lunch and transfer back to the hotel for refreshment; thereafter, road transfer to Rwanda; arrive in Musanze later in the afternoon for relaxation.

Day 11: Golden monkey tracking- transfer to Kigali
After breakfast, you will go for Golden monkey trekking in Volcanoes national park, the activity lasts 3 to 4 hours and return back to the lodge where you will relax and have lunch and later transfer to Kigali the capital of Rwanda where you will have your stay for the night.
