Day 1: Arrival at Kigali airport
Upon arrival, our representative will pick you up from the airport transferring you to the hotel. you will be welcomed in Rwanda by our professional tour guide, depending on your time of arrival, you will take on a City tour in Kigali, and visit the genocide memorial, and the new handicraft village. And then later you will be transferred to the hotel for your dinner and overnight

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park
After morning breakfast we head to Butare; an intellectual city of Rwanda and the second largest of Rwanda cities. Butare is one of the most unique towns of Rwanda having served centre for colonialists during their era, we will visit the great ethnologic museum which was formally Rwanda’s national museum, one of the best sources of information about the cultural history of Rwanda. Along the road to Butare, you will pay a visit to Nyanza; presently Nyabisindu, the former King’s palace. Later you will have an amazing dance concert of the national ballet with the Intore-dancers. The performance is considered by many as one of the highlights of your safari. Lunch will be in Butare and after you will connect to Nyungwe where you have dinner and spend an overnight

Day 3: Nyungwe Forest Primates walk
After early breakfast, you will head to the Uwinka tourist information centre for a briefing before you start your hike in the Nyungwe forest. The park is a tropical rainforest and one of Rwanda’s most protected areas, it lies at a relatively high altitude. The hike will expose you to the commonest species of primates for example blue monkeys, l’hoest monkey, Angolan colobus, owl-faced monkey. And home to over 310 bird species. The walk could be tiring but the guide makes it very interesting as they tell you about the history of the flora and fauna of the park, and of the animal species that you encounter during the walk. It may be a strenuous walk but guides always make it more enjoyable and informative by giving you information about the flora and fauna that you encounter while on the walk.
After Lunch, the exploration continues along the isumo/waterfall trail it starts canopy walk through the forest and eventually to a beautiful waterfall, many monkeys and forest birds can be seen. The trek could take 2 to 3 hours. after you will retire to the hotel for a dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe national park.
Following an early morning breakfast, you will connect to the bigugu trail, a steep trail taking you to the highest point of the park. It will give you an opportunity to see chimpanzees and other primates like the blue monkeys, dents monkeys, and owl-faced monkeys among others and a number of bird species will be observed on this trail as the park hosts so many of the endemic birds of the Albertine rift valley.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Kivu
Have early breakfast you will travel to Lake Kivu is one of the biggest freshwater lakes which lies along Africa’s great rift valley dominating Rwanda and the democratic republic of Congo border moving to the eastern shores of the lake, you will embark on the journey to Kibuye through the green fields, visiting Ndaba falls along the way to buy the town. in the evening you will be checked in at the hotel to have a rest.

Day 6: Boat cruise on Lake Kivu to Gisenyi
Take breakfast and proceed for a speedboat trip to Gisenyi enjoying the fishing villages of Lake Kivu, and have time to relax while viewing the beautiful Virunga mountains and water birds. You can also cross the border to Goma in Congo (Optional). Your visit to this site will exhibit the local people’s capabilities and their hospitable nature, we drive to Kinigi for an overnight

Day 7: Gorilla trekking – Volcanoes National Park
A morning rise and breakfast at the lodge after we will have a 30 minutes drive to the headquarters for a briefing on the dos and don’t during the interaction with the gorillas, your guide will drive you to the starting point of the tracking you will trek the gorillas one of the habituated groups that can tolerate the presence of humans, after a long walk through the forested slopes and entwined vines, bushes, gorilla trekking takes an hour or more depending on how far the family has moved this one of the most interesting moments meeting this rare species in its natural habitat. The guide will give you information not only about the gorillas but also about the other flora and fauna that you will encounter along the trek. Here you will have a magnificent view of the Virunga chain of Volcanoes. Return for dinner and overnight at your lodge.
